Abstract

One of the pressing problems of modern dentistry today is the effect of systemic
diseases characteristic of metabolic syndrome on the organs and tissues of the oral cavity.
According to the Health Organization, the prevalence of periodontal disease in the population
aged 33-44 is about 65-98%. A study of the periodont condition in people of different ages
showed its clinical stability only in 4-5% of the population between the ages of 24 and 44. In a
number of studies, patients with metabolic syndrome have been shown to have severe
periodontic disorders, but the relationship between these disorders has not been sufficiently
studied
