Abstract

. In this article, there are considerations about which autonomy
should be provided to the higher education institutions of Uzbekistan first. In order
to clarify this issue, the authors revealed the concept of autonomy, explained the
main types of autonomy of higher education institutions, and suggested which forms
of autonomy should be presented to HEIs by the state without allowing absolute
autonomy in the conditions of Uzbekistan.
