Abstract
The article discusses the methodology for researching front-line
epistolary sources to study the contribution of Uzbeks during the Second World
War. The front-line letters of Uzbek citizens are analyzed and the perceptions of
the individual meanings of the front-line soldier recorded in the epistolary text are
substantiated, and the structure of the epistolary source is revealed.
