Abstract

The paper presents the results of a study of an unknown tablet that was
submitted for forensic analysis by IR spectrophotometry. The presence of
diphenhydramine tablets in an unknown tablet has been established. The IR
spectrophotometric analysis data confirmed the structure of diphenhydramine and
its structural formula. Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine local anesthetic,
antiemetic, sedative.
