Abstract

According to various studies, it is known that COVID-19 causes many
extrapulmonary complications, including cardiovascular, neurological and
dermatological, in particular, of the osteoarticular system. The literature describes
isolated clinical cases of damage to the osteoarticular system and spine against the
background of the development of COVID-19. Undoubtedly, the course of
spondylitis against the background of COVID-19, taking into account the
pathogenesis of coronavirus infection, has its own characteristics.
