Abstract

This article illustrates the analysis of Walter Scott’s historical novels. The aim of this work is to determine the peculiarities of the use of real historical figures in the works of the famous English writer Walter Scott. Achieving this goal led to the solution of the following tasks: consider the depiction of history in Walter Scott’s novels, to identify the description of English historical figures and literary hero in Scott’s novels.
