MAQOM TRADITIONS IN THE CREATION OF ORIFXON HOTAMOV

Abstract

This article examines the role and significance of maqom traditions in the creative activity of composer and performer Orifxon Hotamov. The study highlights the influence of the national musical heritage, particularly the traditions of Shashmaqom, on his performance style and artistic interpretation. Furthermore, the article discusses Orifxon Hotamov’s contribution to the preservation, development, and promotion of maqom art in contemporary Uzbek musical culture
