Abstract

Hormonal balance is fundamental to the proper functioning of the female
reproductive system. Disruptions in the endocrine system can lead to a variety of
gynecological disorders, including irregular menstruation, infertility, polycystic
ovary syndrome (PCOS), and endometriosis. This paper explores the physiological
roles of key reproductive hormones such as estrogen, progesterone, luteinizing
hormone (LH), and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and how their imbalance
affects reproductive health. The study further reviews diagnostic approaches,
including hormonal assays and imaging techniques, and outlines both
pharmacological and lifestyle-based treatment strategies. A deeper understanding of
hormonal imbalances can lead to earlier detection, improved patient outcomes, and
more personalized gynecological care.
