Abstract
The growing urgency of environmental challenges such as climate change,
resource depletion, and pollution has accelerated the global shift toward a green
economy—one that prioritizes sustainable development, resource efficiency, and
low-carbon growth. Simultaneously, the world is experiencing rapid digital
transformation, where technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of
Things (IoT), blockchain, and big data are reshaping industries and societal systems.
This paper explores how digital transformation can support and accelerate green
economic goals by optimizing resource use, reducing emissions, and enabling smarter
decision-making. It also examines the opportunities and risks associated with this
intersection, especially in developing economies, and presents policy
recommendations for inclusive, effective digital-green integration
