Abstract

This article analyzes the importance of implementing the ISO 9001 standard in
Uzbekistan’s food industry and its impact on export processes. The ISO 9001
certification is one of the key documents ensuring product quality in the international
market. The article examines the level of compliance with this standard among Uzbek
food manufacturers, the certification process, and existing challenges. Additionally,
it discusses the limitations on export opportunities for companies that do not meet
ISO 9001 requirements, especially in the context of Uzbekistan’s accession to the
World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2026
