THE STRATEGIES FOR ATTRACTING FOREIGN INVESTMENT IN THE LIGHT INDUSTRY: THE CASE OF UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

This paper explores the strategies for attracting foreign investment in the light
industry sector of Uzbekistan. As a vital component of the country's economic
development, the light industry offers significant opportunities for foreign investors
due to its potential for modernization, export growth, and employment creation. The
research analyzes the current investment climate, identifies barriers to foreign
investment, and proposes effective strategies to enhance investor confidence. These
strategies include policy reforms, incentives, development of industrial zones, and
improvement of infrastructure. The paper emphasizes the importance of fostering a
favorable investment environment to stimulate growth, competitiveness, and
