THE INVESTMENT POTENTIAL AND DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS OF THE LIGHT INDUSTRY IN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

This study examines the investment potential and future development prospects
of the light industry sector in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The light industry, which
includes textiles, clothing, footwear, and other consumer goods, plays a crucial role
in the country's economic growth and employment generation. The research analyzes
the current state of the industry, identifies key investment opportunities, and evaluates
the challenges faced by domestic and foreign investors. Additionally, the paper
explores strategic measures to enhance the sector’s competitiveness, including
modernization, technological innovation, and government support policies. The
findings suggest that with targeted investments and effective policy implementation,
the light industry in Uzbekistan has significant potential for sustainable growth and
increased contribution to the national economy.
