Abstract

External genital endometriosis is a rare but clinically significant form of
endometriosis, characterized by the presence of endometrial tissue outside the uterus,
particularly in the external genital organs. This condition often presents with nonspecific
symptoms, making diagnosis challenging. Laparoscopy, as a minimally
invasive diagnostic tool, plays a crucial role in the accurate detection and assessment
of external genital endometriosis. This paper explores the advantages of laparoscopic
diagnosis, including its ability to provide direct visualization of lesions, enable
histological confirmation, and guide therapeutic interventions. Emphasis is placed on
the importance of early and accurate diagnosis for effective management, improved
patient outcomes, and prevention of complications such as chronic pelvic pain and
infertility.
