Gas Chromatography: Theoretical Principles and Applications in Pharmaceutical Analysis
##plugins.themes.academic_pro.article.main##
Abstract
Gas chromatography (GC) is a highly efficient and widely used analytical
technique for separating and analyzing compounds that can be vaporized without
decomposition. It plays a crucial role in pharmaceutical analysis, especially in the
quality control, identification, and quantification of volatile and semi-volatile
compounds. This review discusses the theoretical principles of GC, its
instrumentation, and its diverse applications in pharmaceutical settings. Emphasis is
placed on the method's advantages, including high sensitivity, reproducibility, and
efficiency in complex mixture analysis.
