Abstract

Obesity, defined as an excessive accumulation of body fat that presents health
risks, has emerged as a significant global public health issue, particularly affecting
women. Its prevalence has been increasing in many parts of the world, driven by
changing lifestyles, poor dietary habits, and a decrease in physical activity. According
to the World Health Organization (WHO), obesity is a major contributor to various
chronic diseases, including cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and certain types of
cancer. However, its impact on reproductive health is one of the most concerning and
under-discussed consequences of obesity in women.
