"OPTIMIZATION OF ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT METHODS FOR PATIENTS WITH DISTAL OCCLUSION"
##plugins.themes.academic_pro.article.main##
Abstract
Distal occlusion, a common malocclusion characterized by a posterior
relationship of the mandibular arch to the maxillary arch, presents significant
challenges in orthodontic treatment. This study explores the optimization of various
orthodontic methods aimed at correcting distal occlusion, focusing on effectiveness,
efficiency, and patient outcomes. We reviewed and analyzed current treatment
modalities, including fixed appliances, functional appliances, and surgical options,
considering factors such as age, skeletal discrepancies, and patient compliance. The
investigation identifies specific treatment strategies and techniques that demonstrate
improved clinical results and reduced treatment duration. Furthermore, we address
the long-term stability of outcomes and potential side effects. The results emphasize
the need for personalized treatment plans, integrating a combination of techniques to
achieve optimal and sustainable correction of distal occlusion. This research aims to
contribute to evidence-based orthodontic practice, ultimately enhancing patient care
and satisfaction.
